What is the GenZ Innovate Hackathon?
A multi-stage hackathon spread across 2 years, where GenZ innovators collaborate, build, and refine real-world problems through guided phases.
Who is eligible to join?
All currently enrolled Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) students from any discipline are welcome.
How do teams work?
Each team consists of 4 members. You can register as a team (2-4 members) or solo.

If you register alone, fret not! On event day, our icebreaking session will include team-matching activities to help you connect with other participants.Â

Do I need to have coding or hardware experience?Â
Not at all! We welcome beginners. Mentors and workships will be available throughout the event to help you get started. Come with a curious mind and a willingness to learn.Â
What should I bring?

✅  Laptop with VPN downloaded for access to AI tools
✅  Jacket (maybe?)
✅  Your curiosity and creativity
Can I work on an existing project?
Yes, you may use an existing project, provided that the project idea is your own and not a copy from other parties. However, the majority of new development and iteration should take place during the hackathon stages.
